Meet Tim Hayes

Tim has been dedicated to serving the people of Pennsylvania his entire life. The son of a union sheet metal worker and Wawa cashier, the values of hardwork, community, and looking out for the little guy was instilled in him at a young age.
Before he was even a legal adult, he knew that he was ready to step and serve his community and Commonwealth. When he was 17 years old, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, serving as a Field Artillery Automated Tactical Data Systems Specialist. He served with folks from all walks of life, united by a shared mission of service. His unit was activated for state active duty several times, where he worked alongside the Philadelphia Police Department to help with crowd control during the protests in 2020.
Tim took that mindset of service he learned in the military and ran for Dublin Borough Council. He was elected in 2019 at the age of 21, becoming the youngest elected official in Bucks County at the time. Back then, Dublin was a Republican stronghold without a single elected Democrat. He helped turn the tide and flipped Dublin blue in 2023, where he was elected by his peers as Council President. Dublin Borough has grown to be one of the primary economic hubs in Bucks County. By the end of this decade, it’s projected to have millions of dollars in private sector investments, welcoming dozens of new businesses and nearly 200 new housing units. As Council President, Tim has helped to eliminate outdated regulations, reduce wasteful spending, make critical investments into Dublin’s police and volunteer fire departments, improve sustainability, and upgrade infrastructure. And he did all of this, WITHOUT raising taxes.
Tim also works for an environmental advocacy group as their State Policy Manager. He’s spent countless days in Harrisburg in the halls of the Capitol Building advocating for pro-environment, pro-labor legislation. He’s helped to secure millions of dollars for land conservation, water decontamination, clean energy manufacturing and deployment, home weatherization and energy efficiency, and sustainable agriculture.
With what little free time he has, Tim enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and volunteering at a local farm that donates its crops to folks in need. He enjoys going on adventures with his fiance Talyn and exploring the beauty of the natural world.
